The Coastland University trademark program was formally established to protect and license the Institutional Names and Identifying Marks of the International Institute of Chaplain Education Academy. These marks, which are registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and/or protected under State and common law, are the exclusive property of the United States IICE and are managed locally by the Coastland University Licensing Director. Through a contracted agreement, the Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC) administers our licensing program. A license, or authorization, is required prior to the use of our Institutional Names and Identifying Marks. Licenses for commercial use are generally coordinated through the CLC; licenses for non-commercial use are typically coordinated by the Coastland University Licensing Director. The Trademark Information Paper contains specific guidance regarding the use of our Institutional Names and Identifying Marks by staff, faculty, and Cadets; alumni and parent organizations; and locally-registered private organizations. Coastland University Institutional Names and Identifying Marks is a visual portfolio of our logos, marks, verbiage, and colors. Please note that this list is non-exhaustive; the absence of a mark from this list does not constitute a waiver of any intellectual property law rights. Our Current USPTO Registrations provides certificates of registration for the Coastland University Institutional Names and Identifying Marks registered with the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO). In addition to Federal registration, Coastland University asserts common law rights in our full portfolio of logos, marks, verbiage, and colors. As such, the absence of a mark from this compilation of certificates does not constitute a waiver of any intellectual property law rights. The list of Licensed Coastland University Vendors identifies those vendors who are officially licensed to produce and/or offer Coastland University goods and services. Only an officially licensed vendor may produce goods or offer services which bear any Coastland University Institutional Name or Identifying Mark.
